Výstavní projekt představí velmi významnou část tvorby brněnského výtvarníka Petra Kvíčaly, kterou se autor zaměřil na malbu v architektuře
Ve své tvorbě zkoumal, jak se malba utváří v čase a jak je vymezena v prostoru, čímž došlo k přirozenému posunu jeho tvorby směrem k práci na architektonických projektech, v rámci kterých spolupracoval s významnými českými i zahraničními architekty. Jako málokterý malíř invenčně a svědomitě pracuje s atmosférou prostoru, Jeho intervence přesahují rozměry i funkce tradičních nástěnných maleb a podílejí se na utváření genia loci interiéru. Od roku 1995 pracoval na několika realizacích v architektuře ve Švýcarsku s Ivanem Kolečkem, následně pak v České republice, kde spolupracoval s architekty Petrem Pelčákem, Gustavem Křivinkou, Martinem Rudišem, Josefem Pleskotem, týmem atelieru D.R.N.H., a v Německu a ve Španělsku s Josepem Lluísem Mateem.
Výstava představí výsledky této spolupráce, a to jak na soukromých, tak veřejných stavbách - v Brně slavnostní sál, kavárna a foyer divadla Reduta (atelier D.R.N.H.), terazzo a podlahy v Nemocnici Milosrdných bratří (Burian - Křivinka), mozaika bazénu rodinného domu (G.Křivinka), dále v Praze brána švýcarské ambasády (I. Koleček), barevné řešení fasády a interiérů Domu u Závoje (O.Haman, G.Křivinka), nástěnná malba rodinného domu ve Lhotě u Prahy (J.Pleskot), v Litomyšli fasády a nástěnné malby v bowlingové hale (P.Pelčák) a dále zahraniční realizace - banka v Chemnitz (J.L.Mateo), skleněná stěna budovy EPFL a nástěnné malby bytu v Laussane (I.Koleček), malbu na nerezové desce pro barcelonskou kancelář J.L.Matea.

The exhibition project will introduce an important part of the work of the Brno-based artist Petr Kvíčala - concentrating on painting in architecture.
In his work Kvíčala examined how painting is created over time and how it is defined in space. This lay behind a natural shift towards participation in architectural projects, where he collaborated with renowned Czech and foreign architects. Few painters can measure up to his inventive and painstaking efforts at capturing the ambience of a particular space. His interventions go beyond the dimensions and function of traditional murals and contribute to shaping the genius loci of the interior. Since 1995 he has worked on several projects in Switzerland together with Ivan Koleček, and later in the Czech Republic where he collaborated with architects Petr Pelčák, Gustav Křivinka, Martin Rudiš, Josef Pleskot, the team of the D.R.N.H. studio, and in Germany and Spain with Josep Lluís Mateo.
The exhibition will present the results of his collaborations, both in privately-owned and public buildings: in Brno the hall, café and foyer of the Reduta Theatre (D.R.N.H. studio), terazzo and flooring inside the Nemocnice Milosrdných bratří (Burian - Křivinka), mosaic in a swimming pool of a private house (G.Křivinka); mosaic in a swimming pool of a private house (G.Křivinka); in Prague the gate of the Swiss Embassy (I. Koleček), colour design of the façade and the interiors of the Dům u Závoje (O.Haman, G.Křivinka), a mural in a private house in Lhota near Prague (J.Pleskot); in Litomyšl the facades and murals in a bowling hall (P.Pelčák) as well as realizations abroad - a bank in Chemnitz (J.L.Mateo), glass partition in the EPFL building and murals in an apartment in Laussane (I.Koleček), a painting on a stainless steel plate for the Barcelona office of J.L.Mateo.
