FLOOR INSTALLATION FOR A WEDDING RECEPTION

Lausanne, Switzerland (1998)

I was approached by a friend whose daughter was getting married and he asked me to design a special decoration for the place where the reception was to be held, the courtyard of a mediaeval castle near Lausanne. For this occasion I had approximately two million little red paper squares made, each 2 x 2 cm. Before the start of the reception 1 had them scattered all over the courtyard which contained only tables with food and wine. Throughout the reception the guests moved about in this red festive environment.
